Chong Han outdoors in a mountain landscape

I am a master’s student in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science at the University of Pennsylvania. I am currently advised by Prof. Nikolai Matni.

Previously, I received my B.S. in Mathematics of Computation from UCLA, where I was advised by Prof. Chen Tang in the Trustworthy Autonomous Mobility Systems (TAMS) Lab.

During my undergraduate studies, I explored a range of topics, including financial mathematics, combinatorics, large language models, multimodal large language models, and vision-language models.

My primary interests are now robot learning, optimal control, and their intersection. My long-term goal is to build reliable, controllable, and safe robotic and autonomous systems for the real world.
